前言
互联网是当今社会的重要基石，也是当今社会沟通交流的重要渠道。然而，互联网是高度依赖于美国的。包括根服务器在内的原因使得互联网在脱离美国之后几乎无法单独运作。而想要与包括美国在内的世界各国取得联系。最可靠高效的方式就是通过光导纤维实现信号传输。对于地理位置较远的国家或地区之间而言，最广泛使用的莫过于海底光纤。
印度作为南亚大国，人口众多，具有在地区内相对发达的IT产业。因而其互联网流量非常巨大，非常依赖海底光缆。我在 Submarine Cable Map 找到了部分有关印度海底光缆的信息，于是撰写此文以作记录。（数据更新于2021年2月13日。）
